A local business entrepreneur requested our services to build the home of his dreams.  Having a special affinity for reclaimed timber, we set out designing a house he would be comfortable living in year-round.  The company fostered a relationship with a reclamation yard in PA that specializes in dismantling old barns.  We set out using wonderfully stable and beautifully aged reclaimed pine from siding and beams.  Oak obtained from threshing floors was hand planed by our guys and nailed down with cut nails.  Timbers of oak were carefully treated and joined for the timber-frame look.  The owner took a hands-on role in the design with Beau and Nate and the three spent a good deal of time brainstorming everything from the stairs, pantry and even the furniture, which he will live with for many years to come.
